LMSW

Nick is a Licensed Master Social Worker who studied undergrad at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he majored in psychology and social work. He interned at Sheppard Pratt’s Howard County ACT Team meeting clients where they were in the community. He then went on to receive his master’s degree in clinical social work at University of Maryland, Baltimore where he interned with a medication assisted treatment clinic. Nick specializes in working with those living with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, coping with life stressors and couples counseling. 

Nick approaches sessions with a person-centered outlook, believing that clients are the experts on their lives, and that he provides a service that is simply to assist them in their journey to getting the lifestyle they desire. Nick believes that there is no “one size fits all” approach in counseling, utilizing multiple approaches such as: cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and expresses the importance of mindfulness in all approaches.

 

Nick will see clients in-person or virtually, depending on the clients’ needs!
